The Solar Plexus Chakra, located between the navel and the heart, is the core of our personality and identity. While the Sacral chakra seeks pleasure and enjoyment, the third chakra is all about our perception of who we are and therefor is closely connected to our will power. Across diverse cultures, the Solar Plexus is revered as holding the energy of the sun, which lights up, nourishes and fuels the body. Solar Deities including Ra (Egyptian), Inti (Inca), Tonatiuiah (Aztec), Vishnu (hindu) and more are often associated with this Chakra and tend to embody confidence and exude power associated with the element of fire. The main challenge with this chakra is using your personal power in a balanced manner. The Solar Plexus is a gathering point for lines of subtle energy and when aligned the energy of this chakra allows you to transform inertia into action and movement. It allows you to meet challenges and move forward in your life by being proactive rather than reactive or inactive. A strong third chakra reflects confidence and self-worth. There are 10 petals associated with the Solar Plexus, each representing aspects to over come before proceeding to purify the heArt. These include ignorance, thirst, jealousy, treachery, shame, fear, disgust, delusion, foolishness and sadness. In the coloring book page the petals appear as growing from a sunflower to clearly reflect the influence of the sun, the growth of any living being and the color yellow, tied to this Chakra. The Solar plexus relates to our digestion and metabolism and like the element of fire it can burn and process through a variety of input on the physical level. Though near to the heart, this chakra and the ones below are concerned with the material body and the world we perceive with our senses. It helps us navigate how we choose to interact with the tangible world around us. Do you choose to achieve your life purpose or live out your karma from past experiences? Do you choose to judge or criticize yourself, depleting this chakra or do you choose to be empowered by believing in your ability to achieve your dream(s)? I’m sure you know the answer to this;) Meditate on it it and bring forward self-assurance while coloring this page.
